Impact of Nanotech on New Instrumentation |
|
Tuesday, 29 July 2008 |
|
MIP Senior Strategic Consultant, Barbara Foster, discusses impact of Nanotechnology on new instrumentation for Microscopy & Imaging
(McKinney, TX. Aug 1, 2008). Nanotechnology is having a profound impact on new instrumentation for microscopy and imaging, driving next-generation technologies toward smaller footprints, sleeker profiles, more economical systems, and invigorating microscopy/ spectroscopy hybrids. Barbara Foster, President and Senior Strategic Consultant for The Microscopy & Imaging Place ("The MIP"), will discuss these trends at the upcoming Microscopy & Microanalysis meeting (M&M 2008), being held Aug 3-7 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, NM.

MME expands to form The MIP |
|
Monday, 03 March 2008 |
|
For the Microscopy & Imaging industry, it's the new “Place” to come for strategy, funding preparation, operations, and sales & marketing support
(McKinney, TX. November 15, 2007). Since 1991, the unique microscopy and imaging industry has looked to Microscopy/Marketing & Education, Inc (MME) as its primary source of market information and new product launches. Along the way, MME has also offered strategic direction, business plan help, and engineering insight. In a bold expansion move, MME has now formalized strategic relationships with several of its key consulting partners in these areas to form The Microscopy & Imaging Place, Inc. (“The MIP”).

Two new microscopy surveys peer into Materials Sector |
|
Sunday, 02 June 2002 |
|
While the Materials Science niche has always attracted emerging
technologies in microscopy and imaging, there has been little hard
evidence profiling its diversity. Two market studies recently released
by Microscopy/Marketing & Education (MME) provide insight into a
major portion of that sector.

New study reveals boom in live cell microscopy |
|
Wednesday, 13 February 2002 |
|
Cell Biology 2001, a market research study just released by
Microscopy/Marketing & Education (MME), reveals that two thirds of
the microscopists surveyed at December’s American Society for Cell
Biology (Washington, DC) currently use or, within the next year, plan
to move to live cells as the basis for their resesarch. Prompted by the
recent introduction of vital fluorochromes such as GFP (green
fluorescence protein), this new paradigm has far-reaching implications
for fundamental microscopy as well as the worlds of drug discovery and
biotechnology.

Trends from hard-to-reach industrial Neuroscience market revealed |
|
Wednesday, 13 February 2002 |
Microscopy/Marketing & Education (MME) has just released its
"Neuroscience 2001 Market Survey". Based on a mail-back questionnaire
distributed to 4000 researchers, professors, and laboratory managers,
the study provides a unique perspective into trends, budgets, buying
patterns, and frustrations in Neuroscience microscopy and imaging.

New market report features current and five year trends in microscopy and imaging |
|
Sunday, 13 January 2002 |
|
In their recently released “M&M 2001 Market Survey”,
Microscopy/Marketing & Education, Inc. (MME) highlights significant
growth in key microscopy technologies such as confocal and digital
imaging and the return of the quiescent transmission electron market.
The report includes primary research conducted at Microscopy &
Microanalysis 2001(M&M 2001), the annual joint meeting of the
Microscopy Society of America (MSA) and the Microbeam Analytical
Society (MAS). It provides a picture of both the current state of the
microscopy and imaging arena and, for many technologies, a five-year
retrospective, written by Barbara Foster, MME’s president and long-time
industry watcher.

Failure Analysis: a hidden market for microscopy & related imaging |
|
Monday, 19 February 2001 |
|
Many areas of microscopy and related imaging technologies are poorly
documented, but the materials science niche, especially, remains a
mystery. In order to better profile this segment, Microscopy/Marketing
& Education (MME), the leading source of industry information in
these technologies, conducted surveys at two pivotal Fall meetings:
Materials Solutions (St. Louis, October,2000) and the International
Symposium of Testing & Failure Analysis (ISTFA, Seattle, November,
2000). While the Materials Solutions findings presented few surprises,
the ISTFA data revealed startling new insights into the FA market.
